Q. What questions will they ask me on the applications?
A. Have you ever been evicted from a property? Have you ever been convicted of a Felony? Have you ever filed bankruptcy? Why are you moving? What is your anticipated move-in date? Who will be living in the property? What type of pets do you have?

Q. How long will it take the company to run the application?
A. Could take anywhere from 24 -72 hours.

Q. Do I have to put down a deposit?
A. Yes

Q. How much will the deposit be?
A. Normally, this amount will be approximately the same as the 1st month’s rent.

Q. When do I need to leave the deposit with the Rental Company?
A. As soon as the application is accepted.
As soon as you find a property you want to rent.

Q. How much money do I need to move in to the property?
A. Minimum- the Deposit and 1st month rent.
Some companies may require 1st and last month rent, plus the deposit.

Q. Will they run a back ground check?
A. Yes, some companies will even do a credit check.

Q. Will the Rental Company run a Credit Report on me?
A. Most companies will do some sort of Credit Check.

Q. What length of time will I need to lease the property?
A. Minimum of 1 – 2 years.

Q. Can I purchase the house that I am going to rent?
A. This is a possibility. You will need to work with the Rental Company to agree upon the terms of the purchase.

Q. What happens if I break the lease?
A. Minimum – Loss of your Deposit and any rent paid. Most companies have a fee associated with breaking the lease. Make sure you read the lease agreement. This could affect you in the future.

Q. Can I have a dog in the Rental Property?
A. Some properties will allow pets. Check with the Rental Company.

Q. What dogs are not allowed in Rental Property?
A. Pit Bull, Terrier, Staffordshire Terriers, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Presa Canarios, Chows Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Akitas. (Due to Insurance Companies) Check with the Rental Company on all breeds.

Q. Who Pays the Utilities?
A. Normally the Tenant; However, some apartments may offer free water.
